Chocolate Cream Cheese Cookies

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup shortening
3 ounces cream cheese
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup chopped pecans

Cream butter, shortening, cream cheese and sugar together. Add egg, salt, milk and vanilla extract; mix well. Stir in melted chocolate.

Sift flour with baking powder and add to batter a little at a time, mixing well. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoonsful onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.

Yields 5 dozen.
