Sopa de Fideo (Vermicelli Soup)1/4 pound vermicelli or fideo 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 medium size onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic 1 cup solid pack tomatoes 1 quart chicken or beef broth Pepper and salt, to taste Fry vermicelli or fideo in hot oil until brown, making sure it browns evenly. Remove vermicelli or fideo from oil. Drain. In oil left, wilt onion. Add tomatoes; cook 2 or 3 minutes. Add broth when it comes to a boil. Add vermicelli or fideo. Cook until tender.
