Amaretto Butter Frosting

2/3 cup butter, softened
6 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup Amaretto
1 to 2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cream butter. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until smooth. Add Amaretto and milk, beating until mixture reaches spreading consistency. Stir in vanilla extract.

Makes 3 cups.
